The Dell XPS 15 Laptop – Everything You Need to Know

Whether you’re looking for a laptop that offers powerhouse performance or just a good display, the Dell XPS 15 is the perfect choice. It packs all the power you need and more in a small, sleek package.

Display resolution

Whether you are buying your first Dell XPS 15 or upgrading from your old one, it’s important to know how to select the right display. These laptops offer different display options depending on size, price, and configuration. There are three options: 3.5K OLED, 1920 x 1200 FHD+, and UHD+.

The 3.5K OLED display isn’t quite as bright as the FHD+, but it offers a deep contrast and a wide range of colors. The OLED panel also has a 16:10 aspect ratio, which extends the screen for a taller, more luxurious look.

The UHD+ option is a bit more expensive, but it offers a brighter display and a better contrast ratio than the FHD+. The display also has an anti-reflective layer, which helps it hold up to brighter environments. The screen is also capable of DisplayHDR 500 certification, which means that it provides precise color reproduction in AdobeRGB.

Battery life

Unlike its sibling, the Dell XPS 15 isn’t a cheap laptop, but it offers plenty of power for everyday work. It also has a high-resolution OLED display, which produces bright pictures. It is available in many configurations, and the top one features an Nvidia GeForce RTX graphics card.

The Dell XPS 15 can last up to 12 hours without being plugged in. This is enough for a full day of work. It also has a headphone jack and a full-size SD card reader. There is also a wired Ethernet port. The wireless connectivity features Bluetooth 5.2. It also has two Thunderbolt 3 ports, as well as a USB-C 3.1 port.

The Dell XPS 15 9520 is available in different configurations, and each comes with a different battery. The base model comes with 56 Wh of battery power. However, this battery isn’t included in the charger. The charger is a mid-sized 130W, and it doesn’t come with a cable strap.

Stereo speakers

Those looking for stereo speakers on a touch screen PC can’t go wrong with the Dell XPS 15. Its speakers are more powerful and better sounding than the ones on the Macbook Pro. The laptop also offers the best keyboard and touchpad of its kind. Its slim front firing speakers are accompanied by an additional pair of down-firing full range speakers.

The XPS 15 has an OLED display that offers a wide range of color, depth and brightness. Its 16:10 aspect ratio makes for a seamless picture. Its display also covers a full sRGB and DCI-P3 gamut. Its touch screen offers an edge to edge picture.

The InfinityEdge display is a must have for the XPS 15. It’s a screen without a display bezel, and it makes movies more immersive. It also complements smart tweaks to the touchpad and keyboard.

Connectivity options

Depending on the configuration of the Dell XPS 15 you choose, you can have a variety of options for connecting to the Internet. You can use a wired Ethernet port, a USB-C port, or Bluetooth 5.2. In fact, you can even get a USB-C to HDMI adapter, which will enable you to connect to your television.

The Dell XPS 15 is available with either a matte or glossy OLED display. Both offer great color accuracy and a sharp image. The OLED panel has a 16:10 aspect ratio, giving you more vertical space. However, if you’re looking for a brighter display, you’ll want to go with one of the IPS models. IPS displays are backlit, which can make them much brighter than non-backlit screens.

For connectivity, the Dell XPS 15 has three USB-C ports and two Thunderbolt 3 ports. You can also use a USB-C to USB-A adapter for connecting to older USB devices. The Thunderbolt 3 ports will offer you extra-fast connectivity.

Disabling the touch screen

Whether you’re a touch screen fan or you’re looking for ways to conserve battery life, you should know that you can disable the touch screen on your Dell. You may be wondering why you would want to do this, but in fact, it’s a great way to free up some memory and extend your battery life.

While this may sound like an advanced technique, it’s actually fairly simple to perform. Once you’ve disabled the touchscreen, you’ll need to reboot your PC. This may be necessary if you’re trying to enter your Dell’s firmware, which is where you can change settings and disable your touch screen in the first place.

In most cases, you’ll have to use the Device Manager, a Windows control panel. This program is designed to enable or disable any connected devices, as well as track and manage them.
