Whether you are a fan of the first-person shooter or have just recently started to play, there is something for everyone. The list of the best Call of Duty games is endless. You’ll find everything from Advanced Warfare and World at War to Modern Warfare 2 and Black Ops II.

Modern Warfare 2

Despite a few flaws, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is a stellar game. It boasts a fantastic campaign, solid multiplayer, and stunning visuals. If you’re new to the series, it’s a great jumping-on point.

The Modern Warfare campaign features a series of short missions with a single set piece at its core. Task Force 141 travels the world to stop an Iranian Quds Force officer. It includes fan favorites like SAS Captain John Price and Lieutenant Simon “Ghost” Riley. The campaign also features new faces like Mexican Special Forces Colonel Alejandro Vargas.

The campaign also has a cool new water simulation system. There is also a reworked perks system. The campaign is a good step up from past Call of Duty campaigns.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 includes three co-op missions. You can also play in Domination, Search and Destroy, Team Deathmatch, and the new Knockout. You can also choose from a variety of maps.

Black Ops II

Despite the mediocre story and a bit of a grind, Call of Duty Black Ops II is a solid Call of Duty title. The game has a great variety of modes, maps, and characters. But is it as good as some of the others?

Call of Duty Black Ops II features non-linear gameplay, a variety of PVP modes, futuristic weapons, and more. The game also features some of the best maps in the series.

Black Ops II features a unique 10-point loadout system. Players earn unlock tokens at each level and can use these to purchase new weapons and equipment. Each point also unlocks perks and Scorestreaks. The game also has a new system called Create-a-Class. Players can use 10 points to buy weapon attachments, a feature that is similar to the perks system.

Advanced Warfare

Despite its flaws, Advanced Warfare was an exciting and competent entry in the Call of Duty series. The game broke the traditional Call of Duty formula and brought many of its features back into the series. It also introduced new movement mechanics and Exo-suits. The campaign was a compelling experience, containing some unique set pieces. The multiplayer was also great, retaining the classic Call of Duty feel.

The game features an exoskeleton, which gives players the ability to boost, jump and move midair. It also offers them the ability to transform their movement, which is similar to that of the Halo franchise.

In multiplayer, players can choose from a variety of weapons and attachments. Players can also choose to pick score streaks and perks. They can also start a new game at level 55 and keep their favorite weapons.

World at War

Developed by Treyarch and published by Activision, Call of Duty: World at War was released in November 2008. It’s the first title in the Black Ops series. It is also the first in the series to feature a zombie mode.

The game features a co-op campaign. This allows players to work together to take down zombies and earn perks in the main multiplayer mode. The campaign allows players to play online with up to four other players. Several maps have been added in DLC.

The multiplayer mode is fun. The game’s multiplayer mode features six different modes. Each mode is a little different, allowing players to earn points and buy weapons on the map. There are also team deathmatch, artillery strikes, and recon planes.

Ghosts

Originally developed by Raven Software and Sledgehammer Games, Call of Duty: Ghosts was released in November 2013. The game marks the series debut on next-gen consoles.

Ghost is a first-person shooter set in the near future. It features several playable characters. The player takes the role of an elite soldier. The game features a team-based deathmatch as well as a squad-based game mode.

The game’s campaign takes place in an alternate reality. The United States and the Federation are at war. The war has become a bloody stalemate.

The story revolves around two central characters. Logan and Hesh are members of a special unit of the U.S. Marines. They are accompanied by their military-trained German Shepherd, Riley. The two break into a Federation base and find a reverse-engineered ODIN. They are then captured by the Federation and brainwashed.
